Start the tutorial
Step onto a run pad in the lobby. The September 13 recording starts at Emerald Glade.
Choose Easy and select START NOW. Confirm the launch on the next screen; the recorded first run uses no added challenges.
Collect the blue experience orbs while moving around the arena. The level display and the wave counter measure different things: gaining a level opens an upgrade choice.
Finish the run’s three milestones
Build the tutorial evolution. Keep the two required weapons and level them until the recipe shows both at MAX. The demonstrated recipe is Bow Lv8 + Heaven’s Arrow Lv8 → Arrowgeddon. Choose the gold evolution card when it appears.
Defeat the tutorial boss. Move out of attack warning zones, then take safe openings to collect experience. The recording’s unusually strong tutorial healing is a poor guide to how forgiving the next run will be.
Find the extraction portal after the boss. Approach the glowing portal and use Extract; the recorded PC prompt is E. A return to the lobby is the completion check.
Do this before starting another map
Preview the starter classes. You receive one free choice from Warrior, Ranger, Rogue and Mage; use TRY IT OUT and read the final confirmation before selecting.
Open INVENTORY and equip the gear you received. Opening a reward chest does not replace equipping its contents. In the Mage sequence, the tutorial points to Apprentice Hood and Apprentice Tunic.
Check QUESTS for completed rewards, CRATES for unopened chests, and UPGRADES for permanent improvements you can afford. Look through the separate Weapons, Armor, Passives and Pets tabs.
Go back to the run pad when your intended loadout is equipped. Your next objective is a clear you can safely bank, not simply a longer time in the arena.
The free starter choice is permanent, but the confirmation also says you can unlock and switch to other classes later. You are not permanently locked to one class.
The controls that matter in this footage
Mage has Blink; the Ranger tutorial shows Skirmish. Q is not a universal Blink. On touch or controller, follow the game’s current action prompts; this guide does not invent button mappings.
| Action | Observed PC control | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Class ability | Q | Reposition before a pack or warning zone closes your route. The actual ability depends on your class. |
| Extraction | E at the portal | After the boss, while close enough to see the Extract prompt. |
| Upgrade selection | Select a level-up card | Read its effect and evolution requirement before choosing. |
If the next run suddenly feels harder
First check the loadout, then the reason you are struggling. The September 13 player initially misses equipment and Q, mistakes pickup range for damage, and notices lower regeneration outside the tutorial. Those are separate problems.
If enemies barely lose health, examine damage, attack speed and your weapon levels. If you die while trying to collect or leave, change your route and use your movement ability earlier. Avoid map holes and edges even while following a boss.
